Rulebook
Business Rules
Business roleplay standards tied to the official general, character, and roleplay rulebook.
Business Rules
The imported rule document does not include a separate business SOP yet. Until one is published, business owners and employees must follow the official Take One RP standards below, plus any staff direction given through tickets or department leadership.
2. OOC and IC Interactions
Maintaining a clear distinction between Out of Character (OOC) and In-Character (IC) interactions is essential for a seamless roleplay experience:
- In-Character Requirement: Players must remain in character at all times. OOC discussions should be avoided unless necessary and should be conducted through appropriate channels (e.g., OOC chat or Discord).
- Prohibited Actions: Any roleplay involving rape, forced sexual acts, or any form of forced roleplay is strictly forbidden. Erotic Roleplay (ERP) is also prohibited on the server (It's not funny, it's not cute, just don't do it.).
- Character Death: Players have the autonomy to permanently kill (perma-kill) their own characters if it fits within their roleplay storyline. However, players cannot force the perma-kill of another player's character.
- Memory Rules: If your character is kicked out of a gang or organization and is "ocean dumped" (a form of in-game execution), you must forget all information related to that gang or organization.
- Communication Between Characters: Players are not allowed to have their own characters (e.g., "cousins") interact with each other, as this is considered meta gaming.
- Dead Communication: Once your character is "flat-backed" (dead), you cannot communicate via voice chat or any other means. When downed, you may roleplay your injuries but must avoid any OOC references. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!!!
11. Vehicle Regulations
Vehicles play a significant role in Take One RP, and their use must adhere to the following regulations:
- Realistic Driving: Players are expected to drive vehicles realistically. Reckless driving, including speeding in populated areas or intentionally causing accidents, is prohibited unless it serves a specific roleplay purpose. If your car has a bad accident, you ARE expected to play as if the car is done for. Your car will not flip 15 times and still be able to drive. Any type of roll over, head on collision, or any other type of collision that can render your vehicle impaired, you are expected to follow these rules.
- Vehicle Modifications: Modifying vehicles to achieve unrealistic performance or appearances is prohibited. This includes excessive lowering, increasing speed beyond realistic limits, or using non-lore friendly modifications.
- Emergency Vehicle Use: Unauthorized use of emergency vehicles (e.g., police cars, ambulances) is prohibited. Only designated personnel are allowed to operate these vehicles during active roleplay scenarios.
14. Whitelisted Job Rules
Whitelisted jobs (e.g., police, EMS, mechanics) are essential to the roleplay ecosystem in Take One RP and come with specific rules:
- Professionalism: Players in whitelisted jobs are expected to act professionally and uphold the standards of their role.
- Job-Specific Rules:
- Police: Must follow law enforcement rules and regulations.
- EMS: Must prioritize saving lives and provide medical roleplay in a realistic manner.
- Mechanics: Must offer vehicle repairs and modifications within the limits of realism.
18. General Conduct
The following general conduct rules apply to all players in Take One RP:
- Respect and Maturity: All players are expected to behave respectfully and maturely towards each other, both in and out of character.
- Respect towards female players: There is a zero tolerance policy for any type of disrespect towards females. This includes messaging them in discord, following them around like a lost puppy in the city, calling them anything other than their name, etc. If you wouldn't talk to your mother/grandmother/auntie/daughter that way, do not talk to anyone here that way. This will result in a insta/perma ban.
- Cheating and Exploits: The use of cheats, exploits, or any unauthorized software to gain an advantage in the game is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate banning.
- Reports and Tickets: Players who witness rule violations should report them through the appropriate ticket system, providing any necessary evidence to support their claim.
- Server Rules: Players must adhere to all server rules and guidelines. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for violations.
Thank you for taking the time to read and understand the rules of Take One RP. These rules are in place to ensure a fair, fun, and immersive experience for all players. We look forward to seeing you in the city and wish you the best in your roleplay journey!
