Take One RP

Rulebook

Police/EMS Rules

Law enforcement, EMS, whitelisted job, pursuit, body camera, and medical roleplay expectations.

Police/EMS Rules

Department standards are held to a higher roleplay bar.

5. New Life Rule (NLR)

The New Life Rule (NLR) governs what your character can remember and how they must behave after being revived or "going to the light":

  • Memory After Revival: If your character is revived, they may remember events leading up to their down but not out (as long as the player wasn't flat back), but not in full detail. After revival, you must leave the area where you were downed to avoid interfering with ongoing scenes.
  • Light RP: Your character cannot "go to the light" (i.e., choose to die) if Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are on the scene or if you are being transported to the hospital. If you do "go to the light," you may not return to the scene where you died.
  • Running After Revival: If your character is revived by EMS and has been sedated, they cannot immediately run or engage in strenuous activities.
  • PD New Life Rule:
  • PD will NOT have a new life rule. Meaning, if PD has a body camera on, they can pull the video off of their body cameras back at the PD station after being revived. This is to help combat people just randomly killing cops.
  • Cops will only be allowed to go off what they have on video. Meaning, if your car and tag are seen on video, a warrant WILL be issued for you for questioning.
  • EMS Memory Restrictions: EMS personnel are prohibited from reminding or informing players about events that occurred during a scene in which they were incapacitated.

9. Law Enforcement Rules

Law enforcement officers in Take One RP must adhere to a strict code of conduct:

  • Conduct:
  • Officers must act professionally at all times and are held to a higher standard of roleplay.
  • Corruption within the police force is permitted, but must be approved through a high-staff ticket and is subject to strict oversight.
  • Engagement Rules:
  • Officers must attempt to de-escalate situations before resorting to force.
  • Excessive force is prohibited, and officers must justify the use of force in their reports.
  • Pursuit Rules:
  • Pursuits must be conducted safely and realistically, taking into account public safety.
  • Unauthorized roadblocks or spike strips are prohibited unless approved by a supervisor.
  • A 3 minute timer will be set for pit maneuvers for none demanded pursuits, and a 5 minute timer for demands on no pitting. Same goes for Air1.

14. Whitelisted Job Rules

Whitelisted jobs (e.g., police, EMS, mechanics) are essential to the roleplay ecosystem in Take One RP and come with specific rules:

  • Professionalism: Players in whitelisted jobs are expected to act professionally and uphold the standards of their role.
  • Job-Specific Rules:
  • Police: Must follow law enforcement rules and regulations.
  • EMS: Must prioritize saving lives and provide medical roleplay in a realistic manner.
  • Mechanics: Must offer vehicle repairs and modifications within the limits of realism.
